Pininfarina B0 electric car: 153 mile range, 80mph top speed

Unveiled, today, at the Paris Auto Show - the B-Zero is not a concept. This car will be in production shipping in 2009.

Bolloré and Pininfarina have entered into a partnership featuring all the expertise required to launch serial production of an electric car.

This car will not be a prototype. It will be a mass production model, with the first units coming off the production line at the end of 2009, after which production will be ramped up gradually based on the availability of the batteries. Built in Turin by Pininfarina-Bolloré, a joint venture formed by the two family-owned groups, the B0 electric car will be powered by Bolloré’s proprietary LMP technology, using a combination of batteries and supercapacitors manufactured in Bolloré’s plants in Quimper, France and Montreal, Canada.

The B0 will be a fully-electric vehicle without any carbon dioxide production, having been designed from the ground up with that aim in mind. Its batteries will be housed in a compartment specially designed for that purpose and located under the car, between its axles, lowering its centre of gravity and providing it with outstanding road-holding properties.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — As if getting a DUI wasn’t enough, a man arrested for driving under the influence got in a lot more trouble at the police station. Police stopped Jose Cruz on Route 60 in South Charleston Monday night for driving with his headlights off.

Then, he failed sobriety tests and was arrested.

When police were trying to get fingerprints, police say Cruz moved closer to the officer and passed gas on him. The investigating officer remarked in the criminal complaint that the odor was very strong. Cruz is now charged with battery on a police officer, as well as DUI and obstruction.

Go to Dvorak's Blog and read the criminal complaint.

Italian model offers her Virginity for $1.5 Million

An Italian model and former "Big Brother" cast member says she is selling her virginity for nearly $1.5 million. Raffella Fico, 20, an aspiring actress who appeared on the Italian version of "Big Brother" this year, told the celebrity magazine Chi she will have sex for the first time with a man willing to pay $1,419,595 for the honor, ANSA reported Tuesday.
"I can't wait to see who's going to pull out the money to have me," she said. "I don't know what it's like to have sex."
Fico said despite her high asking price for her virginity, she plans to be choosy about the buyer.
"If I don't like him I'll just have a glass of wine and forget about it," she said.
Fico's brother was quoted by Chi as backing up his sister's claims of sexual purity.
"She's never had a boyfriend. I swear on my mother's grave," he told the magazine. "She's a devout Catholic and prays to Padre Pio every night."

Peanut Butter Crisis

So I have been going through a peanut butter crisis in the last two weeks. My crisis is this: Smooth or Crunchy? Up unto this point I have always been a crunchy man myself but I recently opened the a bottle of smooth and realized that I may like this better. I JUST DON'T KNOW ANYMORE! I like the fact that when you eat crunchy you can always be sure to find about an hour later a nice peanut morsel in the back of your teeth just waiting to be discovered. But then again the smooth is so nice to put on a spoon and take my time with as I watch TV and it seems to melt more in my mouth. I'm at a crossroads here and I don't know which way to step.

THe Next few days....Hurricane Katrina story continues

So around this time I was starting to understand that I was not going to be going home anytime soon and perhaps never. I was lucky enough to have family in Houston so I stayed with my parents and watched television for basically 24 hours a day. I was also drinking heavily because of shock and sadness and for my friends in NOLA that stayed behind and I was still at this point unable to contact. These few days were a blur. In the next few days I would start volunteering at the Astrodome in Houston for all of the evacuees. I'll try and get to that part tomorrow. These pictures are some of the ones that I snapped when I finally came back to New Orleans almost two months later for Halloween.

Three years ago I fled NOLA from Hurricane Katrina....This is my story....Day 1

I woke that morning and got my laptop, some shirts and shorts, and my cd case for the ride to Houston. We generally stay in town for Hurricanes around a category one but this one was big and it was going to give me a long weekend off from work. I locked my door and got into my car to drive to work. Of course my restaurant was still open on Hurricane day! When I got to work I let my bosses know that I was evacuating and said goodbye to some co-workers. That was when I said something profetic that I still remember vividly. "This is the one that will take out NOLA....have a good life guys". It was something that everyone jokes about and I guess that I was joking too but it still bothers me.
The roads were packed. Tens of thousands were evacuating. It took me 3 hours to get out of New Orleans and another 15 to get back to Houston, a drive that usually took me 6 hours. I stayed in touch with my friends while I was heading out of town and listened to the radio for updates. When I got home I passed out from exhaustion. I was still at this point under the impression that I was going home. THe next few days would change.
Tomorrow....Day 2

Im looking into this Digg Thing...If you like it tel me about it

Just found this and it looks really interesting.

What is Digg?

Digg is a place for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the web. From the biggest online destinations to the most obscure blog, Digg surfaces the best stuff as voted on by our users. You won’t find editors at Digg — we’re here to provide a place where people can collectively determine the value of content and we’re changing the way people consume information online.

Take a Quick Tour of Digg

How do we do this? Everything on Digg — from news to videos to images to Podcasts — is submitted by our community (that would be you). Once something is submitted, other people see it and Digg what they like best. If your submission rocks and receives enough Diggs, it is promoted to the front page for the millions of our visitors to see.

And it doesn’t stop there. Because Digg is all about sharing and discovery, there’s a conversation that happens around the content. We’re here to promote that conversation and provide tools for our community to discuss the topics that they’re passionate about. By looking at information through the lens of the collective community on Digg, you’ll always find something interesting and unique. We’re committed to giving every piece of content on the web an equal shot at being the next big thing.

Twitter me!

ok so i decided that i wanted to start to twitter. It seems interesting and a possibility for fun. Check me out at Twitter and search for Boomchuckle. Who's your daddy!

Diaroogle.com .... The best thing to hit NYC ever

If you have ever been in NYC you know that public toilets can be few and far between in areas. I know that I have a mental note of all of the Starbucks in the places I go (btw the only reason I go to Starbucks is to take a leak). This new website, which you should have on your phone, is great. Check out Diaroogle.com and enjoy the freedom to find a bathroom that is close, clean, and free!

New IPOD Nano's rolling out September the 9th

I think that it looks pretty slick and I cant wait to see more about it. I like the rounded screen and edges. It kinda looks similar to how the MacBook air looks. Also stayed tuned for itunes 8.0 next month. 8.0 is supposed to have a new feature that reads your library and makes music suggestions for you based on what you have. Sounds pretty cool. I want to credit Kevin Rose for this info. I heard it on this last weeks episode of TWIT (This week in Tech).
